According to Reuters, Irwin confirmed her departure from the company, leaving behind a big gap in Elon Musk’s team at Twitter.

In November of last year, Irwin took over from Yoel Roth, who resigned earlier that same month. During her time at Twitter, Irwin faced some challenging moments, including dealing with issues related to child exploitation on the platform.

Recently, it was reported by Fortune’s Kylie Robison that Irwin’s Slack account had been deactivated, leading to speculation about her potential departure. Additionally, Irwin shared internal Twitter information with Bari Weiss as part of the “Twitter Files” reports and allegedly directed the banning of accounts sharing information about Musk’s private jet.

Neither Irwin nor Musk have commented on her resignation via Twitter. It remains unclear who will take over the role or if there are any candidates in mind. Perhaps this is something that incoming CEO Linda Yaccarino will have to figure out.

As for Twitter’s press email, they replied to inquiries about Irwin’s departure with a poop emoji – a response they’ve been using since March.
