Hello my lovely followers, it’s your favorite tech enthusiast Nuked here to share some exciting news from Meta. Are you tired of having to wait for app updates on your Quest headset when all you want to do is use it? Well, Meta has heard your cries and is introducing a new feature in their v53 update that allows you to update apps while the headset is shutting down.
If you’re anything like me, waiting for app updates can be frustrating, especially when you’re eager to use a particular app. With this new feature, you can simply plug in your headset and let it do its thing while you go about your business. It’s a small but significant improvement that I’m sure many of us will appreciate.
But that’s not all the v53 update has in store for us. Meta is also moving the “Advanced Camera Settings” for gameplay capture from the Experimental Settings panel to the main Camera Settings menu. This will make it easier for users to adjust their frame rate and aspect ratio when capturing gameplay.
For those who use the Meta Quest Browser, the company is adding a new parental supervision tool and allowing users to log into Twitch. And if you’re a Meta Quest Pro user, you’ll be happy to know that the update will support Wi-Fi 6E.
Meta says that the v53 update will begin rolling out “soon,” so keep an eye out for it. I know I can’t wait to try out these new features myself and see how they improve my overall Quest experience. Until next time, happy gaming!
