Bluesky, the decentralized Twitter alternative that’s been making waves, has just released its Android app. This news comes hot on the heels of their iOS app release in February.
Unfortunately, if you’re not already signed up for Bluesky, you’ll either have to join the waitlist or hope a friend can give you an invite code. But trust me when I say it’s worth it. As someone who’s been using Bluesky for a while now, I can confidently say that it’s my favorite Twitter clone yet.
With a small community of just over 25,000 people, Bluesky feels like a breath of fresh air compared to other social media platforms. The users are dedicated to creating a positive environment, and I find myself enjoying scrolling through my Bluesky feed more than any other platform right now.
Of course, there are some limitations to Bluesky at the moment. Since it’s still a small community, you might not be able to follow all the same people you do on other social networks. And some basic features like direct messages are still missing.
But if Bluesky takes off, it could become a fantastic alternative to Twitter – and one that’s Musk-proof to boot. So if you’re interested in trying out this exciting new platform, I highly recommend joining the waitlist and giving it a shot.
