According to CNBC, Google will finally be announcing its first-ever foldable phone, the Pixel Fold, at the upcoming Google I/O event. And it looks like the phone will be giving Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 a run for its money.

From what we’ve heard so far from leakers like Roland Quandt and OnLeaks, the Pixel Fold will be a closed-book phone that unfolds into a 7.6-inch tablet. It will be powered by Google’s Tensor G2 processor and will start at north of $1,700.

But what makes the Pixel Fold stand out is its battery life. The leaked documents suggest that the phone will have a larger battery than Samsung’s foldable phones and will last for up to 24 hours or up to 72 hours in low power mode. It will also apparently have the most durable hinge on a foldable phone.

And if that wasn’t enough, Google is reportedly planning to give away a free Pixel Watch with purchase, just like how Samsung sometimes offers free Galaxy Watches with its folding phones.

Now, I know some of you may be skeptical about this news, especially given past rumors about supply chain issues. But it looks like Google has turned things around and is planning to launch the Pixel Fold in June.
