Greetings, my fellow tech-loving friends! It’s your pal Nuked here to talk about the latest and greatest in the world of gaming. And boy, do I have some exciting news for you. Final Fantasy XVI just had its own State of Play, and it was a doozy.

First things first, let’s talk about how gorgeous this game looks. The cutscenes and gameplay alike are absolutely stunning. And the combat? It’s slick, it’s exciting, and it’s everything you could want from a Final Fantasy game.

But it’s not just about fighting evil and saving the world – there are plenty of smaller activities to keep you busy as well. From hunts to sidequests, there’s always something to do in Final Fantasy XVI. And who knows, maybe we’ll even see the return of some classic mini-games like Triple Triad.

One of the biggest focuses of the presentation was on the Eikon battles. These are similar to the summons we’ve seen in previous games, but each fight is unique and challenging in its own way. And let’s not forget about Torgal, Clive’s faithful hound who you can command to fight enemies and heal you.

Now, I will say that I was a bit disappointed that we didn’t get to see more of the people of Valisthea – but hopefully that will be addressed in the full game. And let’s be real, we’re all really here for the music anyway. Masayoshi Soken’s soundtrack did not disappoint, with a range of mellow acoustic tracks and hype-as-hell orchestral themes.

All in all, this was a fun presentation that left me even more hyped for the full game. Between this and Zelda (which, let’s be real, is going to be amazing), my summer is stacked. Final Fantasy XVI launches on PlayStation 5 on June 22nd, so mark your calendars and get ready for an epic adventure.
