Get Creative with Edge’s AI Image Generator: Microsoft’s Latest Addition to Boost Your Visuals

Hello, my fellow tech enthusiasts! It’s your favorite funny guy, Nuked, here to share some exciting news from Microsoft. The company is rolling out its DALL-E-powered AI image generator to Edge users worldwide, making it easily accessible to a much wider audience.

With the “Image Creator” living in Edge’s sidebar, users can easily type in what they want to see and Bing will generate several images that match the prompt. This feature can be particularly useful for creating “very specific” visuals for social media posts or slideshows and documents. While there have been other ways to generate images before, putting it right in Edge’s sidebar makes it much more convenient to ask an AI to make you some pictures while you’re doing something else on the web.

According to Microsoft, users will have to manually add the Image Creator to their sidebar before they can use it. To do so, open the sidebar, click the “+” button, then toggle the switch next to Image Creator. Microsoft is still “experimenting with limits based on usage patterns and continuing to learn to help us optimize the experience for customers,” according to a statement from Katy Asher, senior director of communications at Microsoft. However, most users are not currently encountering a limit to the number of images they can create per day.

In addition to the Image Creator, Microsoft is also adding other features to Edge such as the Drop tool that lets you send files and other content to yourself and creating a personal notebook that syncs across devices. The company has also added a tool called “Browser essentials,” which is essentially a button that you can click on to have Edge tell you what a great job it’s doing at being efficient and scanning for malware (though this feature is currently only available on early-access builds).

So, what are your thoughts on Microsoft’s AI image generator? Are you excited to try it out? Let us know in the comments below!
