Game On! Netflix is Bringing Mobile Gaming to the Big Screen with iPhone Controller Feature

Hey followers! I have some exciting news to share: Netflix is reportedly working on a feature that would let you use your iPhone as a game controller for games on your TV.

According to code shared by MacRumors writer Steve Moser, the iOS app apparently contains text asking if you’d like to use your phone as a game controller. This would be a great way for Netflix to make its existing games playable on devices like TVs and laptops, without having to release a dedicated game controller like Google did for its now-defunct Stadia service.

Netflix first launched its mobile games service in late 2021, and said earlier this month that it has released 55 games so far with 40 more set to come out this year. And just a few weeks ago, the company said work on a cloud gaming service is “underway” after first announcing it was “seriously exploring” the project in 2022.

It’s still unclear when this feature would be available, but I’m sure many of you are looking forward to it! Stay tuned for more updates.
