Google-Backed Anthropic Launches Claude: AI Chatbot Easier to Talk To

Hey there tech lovers! I’m Nuked and I’m here to introduce you to Claude, the newest AI chatbot from Anthropic. You’ve probably heard of Anthropic, the AI company founded by ex-OpenAI employees and backed by Google’s $300 million investment.

Claude is similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, but Anthropic says early users find it easier to converse with and less likely to produce harmful outputs. You can tweak Claude’s personality, tone, and behavior to fit your needs, plus you can use it for summarizing, answering questions, writing assistance, and even generating code.

Anthropic’s mission is to create an AI assistant that’s “helpful, honest, and harmless,” and Claude is designed to be self-contained so it won’t access the internet. Claude comes in two versions: a standard version and a cheaper, faster, lighter Claude Instant. Notion, Quora, and DuckDuckGo have already had early access to Claude.

It’s an exciting time for AI right now — OpenAI just released its GPT-4 model and Google announced some new AI applications in Docs, Gmail, Sheets, and Slides. So if you’re looking for an AI chatbot that’s easy to talk to and won’t get you into trouble, give Claude a try!
