Hey everyone! I’m Nuked, and I’m excited to share some news with you all. Meta is now dedicating a team to building tools and experiences powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
According to Mark Zuckerberg’s post, the AI team will be lead by Ahmad Al-Dahle, Meta’s Vice President of AI and Machine Learning. This team will focus on developing different kinds of AI experiences, such as text-based chat on Messenger and WhatsApp, creative Instagram filters and ad formats, as well as video and multi-modal experiences.
The team is also working on an AI language generator called LLaMA, which is designed for researchers rather than being accessible to the public. They’ve also released two AI chatbots, Galactica and Blenderbot, which are still in their early stages.
With OpenAI’s ChatGPT becoming increasingly popular, other companies are exploring opportunities in the generative AI space. We can’t wait to see what Meta builds with its new AI team!
