Unlock Your Inner MVP: Become an NBA Player with the New App!

Hey tech lovers! Nuked here with a great update about the NBA app. It’s about to get even more exciting with a feature that will let you digitally possess a live player. I know, it sounds strange right? But here’s how it works.

You’ll be able to scan the person you want to drop into an NBA game by walking around that person and pointing your camera at them. Then, from a menu, you can pick which player to inhabit, and when you do, your scan will be overlaid on top of that player as they move around the court.

To get a better idea of what I’m talking about, be sure to check out the two-and-a-half-minute demo with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Ahmad Rashad. You’ll see Rashad pull off a slam dunk while digitally possessing the Utah Jazz’s Talen Horton-Tucker.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any details about when this feature might be released. But we do have an interesting piece of information from the press release: as part of other new features coming to the app, you’ll also be able to “transport the game to virtual locations.”

That means you can watch the Blazers play on Mars! How awesome is that?
