Hey there, Nuked here!
I’m sure many of you have heard by now that T-Mobile suffered a major network outage across the US on Monday night. Many users reported being unable to make calls or use data services.
DownDetector spiked and showed over 80,000 reports of problems. Some iPhone 14 users even saw their signal status default to an emergency SOS satellite indicator.
T-Mobile was quick to respond and said they were “aware of and rapidly working to resolve an issue that has created intermittent impacts to our voice, messaging, and data service in several areas for a short period of time this evening.”
Interestingly, the outage occurred on the same day that T-Mobile network chief Neville Ray announced his retirement from the company. He attributed the service disruption to a “third-party fiber interruption.”
If you are still experiencing problems, try toggling airplane mode on and off on your device. That might help restore your signal.
