Say Goodbye to Your Favorite Xbox 360 Games: Microsoft Removing Titles from the Marketplace Next Week

Hey everyone! Nuked here. It looks like Microsoft is pulling some beloved games off the Xbox 360 store next week, so if there’s something you’ve been wanting to pick up, make sure you do it before February 7th.

The good news is that if you’ve already bought one of the games being removed, you can still download it after February 7th. Plus, if the game is available on Xbox One or Xbox Series X / S stores, you can still buy it there. However, if the game is only available on the Xbox 360 Marketplace, then it won’t be available for purchase after this coming week.

You can check Microsoft’s site to see which titles are being pulled in your region. Some of the games being removed include Jet Set Radio, Left 4 Dead, Spelunky and The Orange Box. Microsoft has confirmed this news and have provided a list of impacted titles on their website.

It seems like we’re seeing more and more of these kinds of removals over time. Nintendo will be closing the eShop on Wii U and 3DS later this year, and Sony made it much tougher to shop on the PS3 and Vita stores late last year. Sadly, it looks like losing the ability to purchase older digital video games is becoming a regular occurrence.

So if there’s something you’ve been wanting to pick up on the Xbox 360 Marketplace, make sure you do it before February 7th. And if you can’t get it before then, keep an eye out for other options on other platforms.
