Elon Musk’s Twitter Addiction: A Costly Affair

Hello everyone! It should come as no surprise that Elon Musk doesn’t see a downside to being extremely online. He recently made this statement in a Tesla earnings call, explaining that his Twitter account with its 127 million followers is growing rapidly and that it suggests he is “reasonably popular”.

However, this statement is a bit bizarre, considering he’s currently on trial for tweets that caused chaos for himself and his company. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has already fined him $40 million for one of his tweets, and his investors are begging him to stop tweeting.

Musk sees Twitter as an incredibly powerful tool, as evidenced by Tesla’s recent massive price cut in response to falling demand. He even suggested that other automotive CEOs should tweet like him to drive sales. But the truth is that Twitter has been a disaster for Musk, diminishing his net worth and leaving him with debt.

Many Tesla owners who bought into Musk’s early claims of a more sustainable future are now embarrassed to be seen driving one of his cars. Despite this, it seems like Musk will never stop using Twitter – after all, to him it’s real life.
