Hey there followers! Nuked here, ready to bring you the latest tech news. So it looks like Instagram is making some changes to their home feed navigation bar. Starting next month, the shopping tab will be removed from the main bar at the bottom of the screen, and the button to create a new post will be moved down. In its place, the Reels tab will take center stage. This update will be rolled out globally in February. Instagram explained that they wanted to “simplify [the] Instagram experience” for users with this change. However, it seems like this may also be part of a larger shift for the platform, as they are reportedly pulling back on their shopping features. But don’t worry, Instagram assured users that shopping will still be a part of the app, just not as prominent on the home feed. They stated that “you will still be able to set up and run your shop on Instagram as we continue to invest in shopping experiences that provide the most value for people and businesses across feed, stories, reels, ads and more.” It’s unclear at this time what will happen to the personalized shopping page after the revamp. Stay tuned for updates!
