One of the internet’s most popular services is down

Cloudflare is experiencing an outage, according to its status page. The outage appears to be affecting a range of sites, including discord, Shopify, Grindr, Fitbit, and peleton.

Multiple verge staff members found they were unable to access any websites at all during the outage as a result of using CloudFlare’s 1.1.1.1.1.1 DNS service. Simply switching back to using my ISP’s default DNS settings resolved most of my issues.

The issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented. A fix has been being implemented and the fix is now being implemented.

Our team is turning it on and off again so it should be up very soon. The Internet machine broke and we are turning it off again.
