I am Groot will hit Disney plus on August 10th. The animated series centers around the baby Groot. Vin Diesel plays the voice of the adorable sapling.

Marvel studios teased the upcoming series in a Tweet showing off an official poster with baby Groot atop one of the headphones attached to Peter quill’s iconic Walkman. The two, four-eyed penguin-like creatures are slightly smaller than baby Groot.

I am Groot, Marvel studios’ original shorts, coming August 10 to @ disneyplus. The original shorts come August 10.

Marvel and Disney have n’t revealed any other guardians will appear in the show in an animated form, or if it’ll solely focus on Groot (and his very limited vocabulary).

Disney already has several short series on its streaming service. Most of them follow the beloved side characters that may not have gotten the spotlight in the movies they appeared in.
