Google Docs is getting an absolutely lovely feature that could cut down a lot of busywork when it comes to properly formatting your document.

The format painter tool lets you highlight one bit of text and copy its formatting to another. It could still require a lot more clicking depending on how many pieces of text you’re trying to change.

The feature can be used for things other than formatting. It can also be used to add a comment that’s relevant for multiple sentences.

You can format one header the way you want. Then go up to the style section, select the header level, and click’update [ style ] to match’.
