Nvidia already released the rtx 3050 and 3050 TI GPUs for laptops earlier this year. The rtx 2050 will be available in laptops starting in the spring of 2022.
The rtx 2050 comes with the same 2,048 CUDA cores and 4GB of gddr6 memory that the rtx 3050 has. However, it offers a 64-bit memory bus when compared to the rtx’s 128-bit, potentially leading to a bit of a downgrade in performance.
Nvidia may want a mid-range GPU that offers a boost in performance over the rtx 1650. The move may also come as a way to provide a middle ground between the latest and greatest 30 series.
