Gorillaz’s debut album is turning 20 years old today. New album will be re-releasing, selling new merch and nfts.

Nft stands for’non-fungible token’. It can technically contain anything digital, including drawings, animated GIFs, songs, or items in video games.

Nfts are a thorny environmental issue. It’s not as fun when someone you actually like is doing it, especially if that artist has previously made an album about ecological destruction.

I do n’t want to come off like I’m trying to cancel Gorillaz, or say it’s bad for artists to make money. I’m all for them trying to come up with new things to sell to fans willing to pay.
