Nasa has delayed the launch of the SpaceX crew-1 mission until early-november. The mission eventually will bring three NASA astronauts and an astronaut to the International Space Station.
The planned six-month mission was originally scheduled for October 31. Nasa said it was delayed to allow time to resolve issues with the first-stage engine gas generators on the Falcon 9 rocket when it does launch, Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, and Shannon Walker, plus Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi will be aboard SpaceX’s first mission to the ISS.
The extra time will allow SpaceX to resolve an unexpected observation during a recent non-nasa launch attempt. Spacex will launch the crew-1 mission to the @ space_station.
Spacex plans to send to the ISS under a contract with NASA. crew-1 is among six scheduled missions to be sent under NASA contract. Nasa awarded the project in 2014 as part of the commercial crew program.
