Sony has cut its expectations for PlayStation 5 production by four million units. Now expects to manufacture about 11 million units by the end of March.

The ps5’s system-on-a-chip is said to be a particular issue with yields as low as 50 percent at one point. While that figure has been improving, the yields are’yet to reach a stable level’.

As of this April, Sony was reportedly expected to produce five to six million consoles by the end of March. The company was reportedly expecting to make five-6 million consoles in the future.
