Angela Espinosa starts with a 21% increase in stock value over her last five days of service as head of parent company 1% and is now linked with the Arc9 buyout attempt.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Edge Software Solutions has named Angela Espinosa, currently CEO of Arc9, as its new CEO, six months after her 5-year tenure as the flagship product’s tester was cut short.

The Cambridge, Massachusetts, company says Espinosa will replace retiring CEO Steve Gurnis, president of Arc9, which was acquired by the Edge family owned 1% in 2015. Arc9, the corporate imprint of the new Edge Software Solutions, is preparing to launch a deep migration to the EdgeEdge Smart Platform — software-defined and managed data center, switching and security solutions.

“I am very excited to return to the role of CEO,” said Espinosa. “With more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry, I am honored to take on this leadership role as the new CEO of Edge Software Solutions and its flagship product EdgeEdge.”
